GovGrant, the innovation tax credits specialist, has appointed Dominic Bartholdi as head of sales. GovGrant, [which is based in St Albans] helps businesses take advantage of government tax credits for innovation, R&D and intellectual property such as patents. The proceeds are then ploughed back into the businesses to generate more investment in innovation. Luke Hamm said Dominic’s arrival comes on the back of a record quarterly trading performance with turnover increasing by over 30% at the end of last year.
Luke said “I’m delighted to welcome Dominic to the senior team at GovGrant. He will play a leading role in maintaining our strong recent growth in new clients, especially in our target areas such as technology, food and drink, and agritech.”
Luke said that the clients GovGrant works with, from SMEs to larger businesses, are remaining committed to their investment strategies despite the uncertainty about Brexit. “Our performance in the last quarter is a barometer for the amount of innovation going on in UK Plc, and I expect it will continue up to and beyond 29 March.”
Dominic Bartoldi said: “It’s a very exciting time to be joining Luke and the team. Innovation is the lifeblood of economic growth in the UK and GovGrant plays a crucial role in helping business sustain their investment in R&D and innovation.”
“I am especially keen to help build the number of strategic partnerships between GovGrant and high street accountancy firms. This is a new initiative which will deliver new revenue streams to high street firms as they face into the challenges of the digital age.”
